Put in an R.7 today, after breaking the factory seal on the box. Ext. port 5/Station 14 DOA. We don't push AVAYA (or whatever they'll be calling themselves next week.) so this only the 2nd r.7 we've put in. That's not too bad, 50% out of box failure.
When I was young, I was Liberal. As I aged and wised up, I became Conservative. Now that I'm old, I have settled on Curmudgeon.

I won't sell an R7 because of all the problems nor have I had a need to anyway.
I just learned that the R7 has yet another problem, this is with remote call forwarding. Seems it won't disconnect when the parties hang up. Avaya released a patch but it also causes all extensions to have privacy permanently assigned. You can't unassign it.
Fix one thing break another. :shrug:

Failure to disconnect on remote CF. Just what I needed to here! This thing went in with 12 port VM card, I suppose the next thing they'll want is auto attendent to forward calls to their cell phones.
