Are they worth using? I have a future client that I proposed a Partner to. He would like caller ID to appear on his cordless telephones. Aside from the 9040 telephones and radios listing for about $1k, is there a downside :-) I'm pretty confident CID to the cordless won't be worth that much. Any plans for Avaya to correct this?

Most people end up having alot of issues with them it seems. They are nothing more than a headache in my opinion. Avaya does make a 3910 series cordless phone that may fit your needs. Its cheaper, but it only has 4 programmable buttons and does not have as good of range as the Transtalk. Thats just my opinion though.

Avaya has stopped production of the 9040. Like glacier said, too many issues with them. The 3910 is good for smaller installs.
