ACS R7 partner w/voicemail card. Incoming calls are programmed to go auto attendant.Out of every 10 calls 3 to 4 will ring directly to ext 10 not voicemail. No ports in use or lines. Found that telco did not have answer supervision on lines and they have sinced changed that program. Still same problem. Reset system no luck, checked ring voltage and found to be between 18-25 during ring cycle. any ideas????

If you are using a Partner Voice Messaging system, every 30 minutes, one of the 2 voicemail ports will go busy as it is doing a system check. During those times, only 1 voicemail port is available.

It is possible that both voicemail ports are being used at the time the calls are ringing directly to extension #10.

You can program 2 free buttons on any 18D or 34D telephone to intercom extensions 78 & 79. You will be able to see when each port is in use.

Full AA is not recommended for the baby mail it's only 2 ports and if some one is checking their voicemails and someone calls and transfers to a station there go your 2 ports the next call goes to the operator. To test this change the transfer return extension for 78 and 79 to something other than 10 then access voicemail as if you are chacking messages and then make two calls into the system while still checking messages and see what happens.

Is 10 programmed for Immediate or Delayed ring? Or No Ring?

Does anything play to the caller before they ring at 10?

checked ring voltage and found to be between 18-25 during ring cycle. Huh?

Full AA is not recommended for the baby mail it's only 2 ports... Not recommended by who? It's done all the time and with only two ports on the Partner Messaging also. Never had a problem.

Make sure both extensions 78 and 79 are programmed #505 grp 7. After that try another VM card. After that blame the R7. (Matter of fact suspect that first.)

Only two co's and no one is using the system while I am testing. Yes ext.10 set to ring delay. Could this confuse the voicemail? If I test several times in a row, once in awhile it will not ring voicemail but go to ext 10 after 4 rings. Caller does not hear anything but the ringing.

No, no confusion but I'm wondering if the delay ring and what you have set your AA to pick up are the same. Could be that the AA is a little slow on the draw and X10 rings first.

If you let X10 ring does the AA ever pick up? What do you have #506 set for on your two CO lines?

Do you have any other extensions set to ring or is X10 the only one?
