Ok gang,
Looking for some help here. Setting up a 5610 IP phone in my home to work off the office network. I have the VPN setup, the phone boots, looks for the TFTP server finds it, starts the *.scr download no problem? Then it continues and hangs at "Discover 192.168.100.225" the IP of the IP Office unit? I can ping EVERY IP I need going both ways EXCEPT for the IP Office unit, which is the 192.168.100.225 and I can't ping fomr the outside but I can from the outside? If I'm inside the network in the office I can ping the IP Office unit but not from the outside? I can ping the file server inside AND outside the network? Is there a firewall setting in the IP Office unit I am missing? I'mmm sooo confused.
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Mike

Thanks,
Mike

Check your VPN programming. 192.168.xxx.xxx is a private IP and may not be reachable via your program settings.

I thought that, but I can reach ALL other 192.168.xxx.xxx in the network just NOT the IP Office units IP address?

Make sure you have a gateway set in the IP Office settings. Without a gateway, you can get to it locally but not over the VPN.

Off topic question, I need to direct ONE incoming phone line (of the five incoming analog lines)directly to an extension. I need it to bypass the auto attendant but for the caller to hear the voice mail message. I tried setting the line to go direclty to the extension but I keep getting the auto attendant? All the other lines are set to *90, the start point for the auto attendant and the one I want sent directly to the extension is set to user extension 216. Still getting the auto attendant when I call that number directly? Can anybody help?

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks,
Mike
