I work for a PBX hardware manufacture... We deal with many "smart homes" and larger locations and just going to give my 2 cents to your request here...
Talkswitch does both regular analog and VoIP at an inexpensive price point. Many high tech homes use it to add advanced features to their houses. Like forwarding out to cell phones after it tries you at home etc.
