what settings did you use to make it work? I am having the exact same problem only I am using 4.1, but I am sure it is similar.

Read the documentation, we can't go into that here. The voice messaging port assignments depend on your system configuration as I said above. Everybody is different.

wow thats helpful, i have read the manual more times than I can count and gone through every setting 3 times with no luck, i thought maybe if he could tell me what he did to get it to work maybe it could help me and possibly others reading this forum. I guess this forum is different than every other forum I belong to, those forums encourage people with similar problems to talk with each other, to figure out problms. I must have missed the part in the rules where it says "if the manual doesnt help you, you are SOL here". Very sorry i wasted your time and mine.

Not to be rude but actually that is pretty much correct. We can offer help with items in the user documentation but installation and other "in depth" questions are not handled in the open forums. Your question would fall into the latter category and also because it depends on your specific system.

We encourage you to work one-on-one by PMing one of our Avaya mods. They may charge for their support if they desire. You also are always encouraged to contact a local Avaya Business Partner with your problem.

actually its posted here

Quote
. The board is intended to assist two types of members, end users and professional telephone technicians (installers). If you are a novice or a do-it-yourself end user looking for advanced assistance with a system install, you should post your question with as much detail as possible and expect a response from a qualified installer who can take your issue off the board and answer your questions via private message, email or over the telephone. You should expect to pay a fee to compensate the installer for their time, experience and help. If the technician chooses to help you for free, that is totally up to the technician. You can also send a PM or email to any of the moderator(s) of the forum in which you need assistance if additional assistance is needed. Again, you should expect to pay for any technical assistance offered.

First off blackrain, instead of hi-jacking an old post you would get better results if you stated a new post with your own problems.

First there are common variables in all systems and it seems to me if he posted his solution others may benefit...nothing "in-depth"...he can post the problem not the soluion? Thats all I asked.

Second how is asking the OP to post his solution hi-jacking...and how is it old if he posted it on the 28th and I asked my question the same day?!?!?

and mdaniel what is second off? it seems to me if you just let the guy answer this thread would have been useful...but instead 3 of you hijacked it just to hear yourselves talk...good luck in life, have a nice day...and for god sakes f^&*ing ban me so I wont be tempted to come back!!!
