I have a merlin legend system. I tried to change the winspm password, after i changed the password and tried to log back in to winspm, it said the password is not valid. i tried the default password, which is the one that i used before and it also did not work. i backed up the system then manually reset the system to factory settings. then restored the system. i tried to get back in to winspm and still nothing.
any ideas?

Are you talking about the password to start WinSPM itself, or the Legend's password once you get connnected to it?
We don't post passwords, but if you can tell us what you need, someone can PM you with advice.

Im talking about the password once you connect to the legend. Not the WinSPM password.

You'll have to connect to the Legend's admin port directly, then choose F9 to change the password again. If there is a printer attached locally, you could talk someone into executing a PRINT > SysSet-up. The password will appear in that report.
Note that the password must be seven characters in length. When prompted, type in new password and simply wait for the "Enter New Password again" prompt (don't hit the Enter key). Type the password in again. If you see the "New Password in Use" message, then everything went to plan.
