I have a little remote office that I believe is connected to my system through phone switch via a dedicated line. I've just been informed that no one at the office can transfer calls except for the receptionist. I didn't know that you could take away the right to transfer. I am using an S8700.
Thanks in advance.

Need more info. Is the remote office an LSP or ESS off of the the S8700? or a stand alone PBX. What type of trunks are you trying to transfer to? It sounds like they are trying to do a trunk to trunk transfer and getting denied. Run a 'list trace station XXXX' and post the results. Also check 'disp sys feat' page one and look for trunk to trunk transfer. My guess is that you have "none" there.

Thanks for the response again liquidvw. I am a bit embarrassed not knowing this before I posted, but I am still trying to wrap my brain around the whole phone system at the company that I work for. I inherited it a month or two ago, and wasn't really left with much along the lines of documentation. I am definitely not yet a "phone guy", but I did have some experience with a really old AT&T Definity phone switch, and our "phone girl" quit and they asked me if I wanted the opportunity. Anyway, enough of the boring stuff. I did a "list trunk" command and the office is not directly connected. I found out that the phones are VOIP, and managed from my S8700. They are not digital like all of the phones here in the corporate building. They are just trying to transfer calls within the office. Does the fact that they are VOIP change things a bit? I know that the station form looks a bit different.
