We recently had 3 customers that would not pay their bills from back in March of 2005. Not large bills. ( Range from $700 to $1500 )
But still to a small company that's money needed to pay the rent ect..

We called every week and would get the normal run around. That person is out of the office and the check will be cut Friday.

Then about two weeks ago decided to turn them over to our local county Attny. office and within 3 days of that they all 3 paid up.

But that would depend on you Co. Attny..
Because we had tried it before with no results.

Hope this might help

We will but they are on a pay up front or when the job is complete.

I mean like send payment back with the tech that services you!

We try not to slam any doors shut, but when they won't pay well what do you have to lose?

I am learning that when a customer bad mouths all previous service providers it is best to walk away from the job......

When in this situation make sure you send a demand letter, certified with acceptable terms (if any. I'd rather spend 50 bucks and a few hours in small claims court then have a customer get away without paying. We work too hard for our money.

Get an old coat from the thrift store. Spray it with skunk urine (go to google and pick a vendor) and walk in with your bill and sit down. It helps if you do this while you have a cold.

Sit there in one of their comfortable chairs and tell them that you are waiting for the check. Tell them it is a public office, you are being civil and they could call the police and tell them that they have someone in their office who wants the money they are owed.

Even if you leave in ten minutes, it will be hell in there. Go to the next person who owes you money. Best to ride in the back of a pickup and have someone drive you there.

Please send me my 10% commision fee on each payment.

Bunnie, you're too much man. Everyone- isn't it funny that when we call a plumber over to fix a clogged drain or whatever, we are excpected to pay when finished, which we always do, right? And the tree trimmer, etc. But the phone guys are always expected to go through some billing process, net 30, 90 if gov't. I think they think we're the "phone company", and should have to wait for our pay, which for me can amount to dinner.
