Did you try putting a "0" before the mail box numbers 1 thru 9? Ex. mail box 1 would be 01, mail box 2 would be 02.........ect.

no purple label.
Well, what color is it? Is it a silver card with some color label on the front? A PVM R1 will say "Lucent Technologies" and "PARTNER Voice Messaging PC Card". The label color on the PC cards indicate what it is.

You need to know the associations between mailbox numbers and extension numbers.
By default, mailbox 01 is assigned to extension 10, 02 to 11, and so on.
Option 1, assign a mailbox to an extension will let you hear the current assignments, without changing them.
Then, you initalize the password for a specific mailbox, not extension.
