Bill you are correct about the powering down switching the mails then power up. I do recommend doing a back-up of the ACS before powering down.
But TTT here on the board pointed something out to me. The PMVS R.5 doesn't need a licence card in it. It will be a 2X48 (2-port, 48 mail boxes) without the licence card. Sorry for the wrong info on that.

Thank you Mike. When you say I don't need a licence card do you mean I don't need the 2 port backup/restore card?

That is correct. For some reason I thought the 5's had to have it. But TTT and myself tried it yesterday, and sure enough............you do not need it.
