Notice to parents:
Students are forbidden from having cell phones ring on school premises during class hours.
Any cell phone ringing during class hours will be confiscated. With ID, the cell phone may be picked up by the parent after the student has completed 8 hours of detention in a quiet room.
The student may bring only class books to the quiet room where no speaking whatsoever is permitted during the two four sessions on two Saturdays.
Should this not be acceptable to you, a transfer from this school can be filled out in the school office.
Please sign below accepting this policy and have your child return it to the office. Any student having a cell phone ringing who does not have this signed form on file in the office will need to complete eight four hour sessions to have the cell phone returned.
Thank you for your help in keeping our classrooms focused on instruction instead of distractions.

I want a cell scrambler to be portable. Any soccer mom crossing my path with cell phone stuck to head and head stuck up *** would get imediate disconnect. And since when did I begin caring what was legal.

The frequencies might permanently scramble whatever they are next to if you know what I mean. Simply put, don't hide one in your underwear.

The real reason they want to block cells is because students use mesaging to pass answers to test. Beats passing a peace of paper.

I developed a little saying some time back.
I don't have a technical solution to your managment problem.
This is a management problem. Lay down the law with the kids and take their phones away from them. Where's George S Patton when you need em?

I would tend to agree. I'm a high school student, and at my school most of the teachers don't care about cell phones. Most kids are on them all the time in the halls. Teachers answer their phones during class too. And yes they do send text messages during class/tests. Now the school where I take my computer classes is totally different. Most teachers, when they even see the phone they will take it right then. They give them back after class. I have had customers call me during class, luckily it's almost always on vibrate. Some pranksters on the other side of the room have called me in first period when I forget to put my phone on silent. oops!
