I have installed a 016 ETR card in slot 13 of a working Legend 7.0 The system has MLX and SL phones. When I connect a Partner 18D to a etr port, the time and date as well as extension # is displayed upon F00. The 18D is working like a SL phone - off hook there is dial tone, but lines & intercom cannot be accessed by pressing buttons

I have a console phone and winspm that is working

Please advise the path to configure the etr to support etr phones.

Hey that diagram helps - SA = intercom ring/voice?
What is SA 0?

I'm not happy w/Partner button layout on the Legend ETR, so I am hoping I can use 5 MLX 10D phones on the T/R ports of the ETR. I could program with a template from an existing set + customer would be comfortable with familiar and consistent button layout.

I added the 016 ETR card mainly to support 2 Partner 3920 wireless sets.
Customer needs to access 6 lines and Page from the 3920 - more hope for that to work.

I only need to add 5 station phones + 2 3920 wireless.

I have a 20L and WinSPM working

Whoa there! You'll need to connect MLX phones to MLX boards. They won't work if connected to an ETR or any other type of board.

Partner phones do behave differently when connected to a Merlin system. Often the way to go is use MLX or 4400 series (for a Magix) sets.

OK - now resuming work on this Legend 7.0 ETR/Partner hybrid.
I am adding 6 Partner 18D and 2 Partner 3920 8 button cordless sets to ETR ports.

Dialtone is via supertrunk w/DIDs. New DIDS are issued and configured to now show correctly on the ETR ports for this expansion
DIDs = 2000 - 2015

DID 2000 - 2015 show as available ETR type winSPM Personal Lines.

Each port/ext number shows correct on 18D displays - ext 2000, 2001, 2002, ...

1) I am having trouble assigning lines to buttons on 18Ds. The button inquiry on MLX ext shows
SSA/R 2800/1, SSA/R 2800/2, SSA/R 2800/3 etc.

These appear to be line assignments with dial tone and I need to find and add these line buttons to a Partner 18D, ...bottom to top layout is fine.

It would be easiest to Copy lines, but Copy only works among same model phone sets.

I program using either a 20L or winSPM, but neither have revealed the SSA/R 2800 ....pool?

2] Personal Lines shows 801 and 802 as Pool 30.
803, 804, 805 can be added but customer needs button access to each of lines 1-6. I assume that is 801, 802, 803, 804, 805, 806

2800/1, 2 & 3 are Share buttons Access for Ext. 2800. That means DID 2800 can Appear and Ring 3 times on Ext.2800. You can do the same for ETR extensions but if you need Trunks 801-806 to Appear on ETR exts. they have to be pulled out of Trunk Group 30 otherwise it would be only 1 Pool button 30 on those phones. Another choice is to assign all ETR phones to be an Operators to be able to assign trunks to buttons.

The last option sounds like the most direct way to assign 6 trunks to 6 buttons on the ETR sets.
Will I find it a winSPM or 20L option to assign ETR phones to be 'operators' and to then assign trunks 801-806 to 6 buttons on the ETR sets?

There are limited numbers of Operators on Legend and only certain ports on the card can be assigned as ones. You have to read manual and do what is required. Yes 20L and Software allow that Programming. I don't remember now but I belive you can't asign ETR set as an Operator anyway. The best way to kill Pool 30.
