I am very new to this system, I am more familiar with Avaya. Anyway I have a CTX100 and a IVP8 voicemail, I am trying to delay the voicemail from answering for 4 or 5 rings before going to their AA. What step should I look at to do this. I have the CTX admin software but not the Stratagy software.

What type of trunks are you using? I like to point my main number to a multiple call group with the receptionist and all other needed ext's set as immediate and the vm pilot number on a delay. This is just one way of doing it.

RRhino is right. Place all of your phones that you want to ring in a MCG (I call mine 650). Then add the VM group number on a delay ring. Make sure you don't have a VMID on the GROUP tab or it will be answered by that mailbox.

Then point the ring assignments for DAY RING to 650

I am using loop start co lines. What program codes should I look at in order to do what you are saying, I tried to look at group programming but did not see any thing about delay ringing.

In the CTX admin software, go to Advanced Configuration>Station>Multiple Call Group. Create a multiple call group(say 650) and in the member tab, enter all the stations you want to ring on incoming calls and set them for immediate. Then put the voicemail pilot number in there and set for delay1 or 2. The timers are set in the previous screen. Then go to Advanced Configuration>Trunk>Assignments and in the DIT tab, put Dialing Digits as the destination type, and the multiple call group number in for the destination digits. So thats program 517 and 518 for the MCG, and 310 for the trunks.

If you don't see the MCG's then your S/W is too old to have it. You could put a phantom DN on one of your phones and make that phone the owner. CF/NA the phantom with a 20 sec. timer to VM and then DIT the trunks to the phantom. You will need go into key programming and make sure the phones are set to ring those trunks.

BTW, what s/w rev. is on the CTX?

Mike,

With all due respect, it sounds like you need a certified Toshiba person. Don't get in too far over your head.
