Just installed a new sv8100 with a UM8000 voicemail.

Everything seemed fine until we recorded all the voicemail greetings.

They all sound distorted, and loud. The built in system prompts are normal, but all of the user's mailbox greetings and the main opening box greetings are all a lot louder than the canned prompts and distorted.

All the greetings are being recorded from brand new 12 button sets, no trunks involved at all.

Going to call Active Voice this afternoon, but wondered if anyone else had this issue?

Not yet!

Hey JT, haven't seen you around in a while.....

Looks like an issue with SOME systems running 3.10 with UM8000.

Program 82-08 (new for 3.10) allows you to adjust the pad between dterm and analog stations.

I just bumped it down a couple of notches and we're all good now, except for having to re-record every stinking greeting.... frown

Thanx Doghart.

I'll put this with the rest of my "what if I see this here info" Is it the latest version of UM8000 software as well?? Latest we have here is V.11.2.1.3

Paul

Yes, the UM is 11.2.1.3. Latest release here as well.

Also, on a side note..... I noticed when setting up several UM's on this version that when you log in for the first time and walk through the initial setup/registration when it asks for the PBX type the default original choice is SV8100.

DO NOT click on continue!!!!

If you do your database will get mucked up.

Even if you're installing on SV8100, select sv8300, then re-select SV8100 then click on "submit".

If you leave the default selection a bunch of the integration options are missing and the only fix is to default the UM and re-key.... what joy! (ask me how I know this!!) laugh

I've noticed this was well that's why I have the following string on a memory stick as a text file "F1 ISVM=10,15 CID=0,0 INT=DIGITAL RCV=6,10" to add later if this happens.
