Are you talking about ver 3.9.9.103 or a varient of this? Because it looks mostly the same and imo I still think it has issues. Especially since Redphonix has been working on Desktop Suite since IPKII days! 2007ish call

Using 4.0 at our office for about 2 months.

We should be deploying it out at several sites here in the next couple of weeks. We have actually been waiting for the SV8100 software version 6.0 to be released so we could upgrade everything all at once.

As far as I know 6.0 for the 8100 is out today. We just installed it on our office system.

The interface looks different, and if you are using ACD and have licenses for InACD (red phoenix product) you can log in and log out from the desktop app AND you can show ACD MONITOR screens from desktop WITHOUT having a MONITOR License (As long as you have an ACD server with appropriate licenses).

The new 4.0 also allows you to drag and drop calls on a Desktop Client icon instead of clicking, Also you can hover your mouse over a client showing BUSY status and the length of the call AND the caller ID of an inbound caller will show.

They also have an Android App that will allow you to set presence profiles and access your Desktop directory from your mobile phone. Once you access your directory you can click to dial that contact from your mobile phone. (mobile presence)

We haven't had any real issues and are using the Desktop Shared services BLADE in our 8100 instead of a server.

Thanx for your feed back. Delsar. We are still using 3.9.9.107.
Doghart. I see the App server blade for DTP and ACDMIS mentioned in the documentation but no indication when / if it will be sold here. Looks the same blade as Zeacom's InUCB.. Things were going real well here with the trials until we started doing screen pops from Outlook using the E.164 number plan. While most numbers popped OK Vodafone here still use 6 digit post pay cell fone numbers. Prepay are 7 digit along with all other cell carrier number plans. Unfortunately when Vodafone took over the Bell South network here about 13 years ago there was no requirement for them to go 7 digit and now we pay for in this and in ARS translations. They have a mix of 6 ~ 8 digit cell numbers after the area code.

Thanx Doghart

"2. Desktop versions prior to 3.7 need to be "Uninstalled before installing v4.0.0.0. When upgrading from v3.7 and later, an uninstall will not be required."

Never understood installer for this and other Red Pheonix products are smart like say wireshark where the uninstall and update is not done tru the one action.. Seems so backward to have to uninstall and then go back and reinstall again..

We found a bug down here with the beta PCPro or so we are told as I haven't seen a later version to retest with .

The problem was if you updated a SV8100 to R6 from and earlier version with an InMail and did a system reboot, you are not able to leave a message in a mailbox, record a user greeting or GP Mailbox greeting. As soon as the record beep is heard the port is dropped.

Not sure that is "officially" released yet. Saw it in a demo.

Where did you get it? I don't see it on NTAC.

Thanks.

Ah, my mistake. It's still in beta, being billed as 5.b1 right now until officially released.
