Not sure which comdial system you have, but station to station mess. would light and flutter at itcm button. Itcm,#7,and ext. to cancel. This usually was set by accident on older systems.

Do you know how to determine which extension set it?

Fluttering Red Intercom light = auto redial is in use, or system is in night mode (at station 10 or 12, depending on the system setup)

Winking Red Intercom light = an LCD message is set on your telephone for others to recieve when calling.

On the other hand, the HOLD button flashing red indicates there is a message to pick up. This could be from a voice mail system, or can be sent from another phone. In your case, station 7. Who (or what) is station 7? From what you are describing in the body of the question, I'm wondering if the hold button lamp is the one flashing, not the intercom button lamp.

A fluttering red hold button lamp inditates automatic station relocation has been set.

Which lamp is flashing? Intercom or Hold?

It would be helpful for you to tell us what system you have and the type of phones as well.

According to what you said, extension 7 set the light.

Do you have a voicemail system? If not, go to extension 7 and dial #3X to turn off the light. X is the station number that has the lamp flashing.

Try: pickup handset at phone with blinking itcm and press itcm and hold button this should connect you with ext. that called, then hang up. This worked on version before impression.

3. DIAL the desired number from your message list. The default messages
of “Back At” and “Call” may be used:• For default message 1, which is “Back At,” dial time in twelve-hour format using the # as a colon.• For default message 2, which is “Call,” dial the telephone number of where you will be.4. PRESS SPEAKER to end message. Intercom light flashes steadily.

To turn off message and your intercom light,1. PRESS INTERCOM.2. DIAL #02.

I'm having the same problem. As far as I know, we only have extensions 10 and 12. The ITCM is doing the fast flutter thing and we've been unable to get it to stop. HELP! TIA

Your system is in night mode.

tcmanager: RBF is right, you are in Night Mode. By default stations 10 and 12 have attendant privileges, so the ITCM lights on both those stations flicker in night mode. Obviously either of those stations can set or cancel night mode. Dial ITCM * # 03 and press the lit button to toggle night mode. Then press SPKR to end.
