You can add the stations to the first group in program 601, or you can make a new group then use 406 to assign the trunks to ring

We have tried 601 and 407 in tech. prog but it keeps displaying 'Not Permit' How can we enable it to permit us?

You need technician level prgramming access to program these mmc's.It sounds like you are using system administration access.

We are going into to program mode 200 (passcode 1234) and 800 using (XXXX passcode) to get in... Is there any other way to access the programming?? these two still leave 601 and 406 'not permit' .... Please Help!

800 is the access level for technician programming,it will work.As this system is European and I've never seen it,maybe you are enabling the programming for tenant 2 instead of 1?
The passwords you posted are correct for default ,but I will edit your post to remove them as I don't want evryone to see them.
With 800 level access you can program anything.

How do you find out if your in tenant 1 or 2?
Posted By: pvj Re: DCS 408 not ringing - 08/07/04 08:30 AM
It will show on the display when you get to the enabling of the programming.Like I said not having seen a 408 I can't even be sure that it has tenanting capabilities but anytime I've had a problem like thast it was because of enabling the programming for tenant2 not 1.

There is no indication on the display for tenant 1 or 2?? Any other ideas please....

Well I assume you are using the 800 level access to program. When you do this are you only getting the not permit on those 2 mmc's 406 and 601?If you get that message on other mmc's like 600,407 etc. then the only reason I can think of is that you are not in technician programming but system admin.800 level will give you access to everything.

This is whats happening to me;
programming mode enter PGM ID: 800
Enable Tech.Prog Passcode: ****
Select country
then mmc 600,407 etc and it keeping coming up not permit....
Is this the correct way into tech programing or is there any other way or different passcode to enter.... is a new system so all the codes are at default.

Well here in North America we don't have to select a country just
Transfer 800
Passcode XXXX
1 To Enable
Spkr 601 etc.
Let me see if I can get the guide off their website for that model.

Update
Ok so it looks like you should program mmc 812 first to select a country and then restart the system for it to become effective.Try that.

Yep, that seem to work. On resetting the system it has unlocked all the mmc codes..... Thanks

Another question, the main LCD phone rings now, but the two extension phone stay silent. You can transfer between them and press '9' and get a line on them, but they just will not ring.... any idea's

Did you set the ringing in mmc 406 to a specific group? Then in mmc 601 add the other extensions into that group as members and set the ring type to unconditional.

Nice one.... thanks!!

One my LCD phone model DS-5007S it has Call 1 and Call 2 set for two line that flash on incoming calls, I have set the 3rd button to call mmc 722 but it still wont flash on incoming calls, any thoughts?

Call keys are used to have trunk calls appear if you don't have the direct appearance of the trunk as well as internal calls.Have you got DTXXX keys on the sets (where XXX is the trunk number ie DT701 is a key for line 1)If you have call keys and the set doesn't ring on the trunk then the call key will not show the call .
