Hi all,
I read somewhere the new IP phones (SMT-ixxxx) are SIP standard. The documentation refers nothing about it, but I would like to know if someone knows something about it.
Is there any Samsung SIP phone?

Regards.

yes, SMT 52XX series IP phones support SIP standart for SCM. You can upgrade the SIP version on this SMT phones and they gonna be changed as SIP Phone and work with all systems as SIP

Both the SIP and Proprietary IP phones are the same product - it's just a firmware flash for whatever protocol you want.

Both are available in the UK now.

One important thing to be aware of: once it's SIP you can NOT change it back. So be sure you want it SIP. Personally I don't recommend them as they are shite as a SIP phone. Overpriced, clunky, and unstable.
