Brand new 7100 V 4.95

Call into Day or Night or Holiday Menu
Dial Ext e.g. 205
VM says transferring to Ext 205, which it is.
Ext rings, no answer
Goes to VM Day Menu instead of MBX
Happens on all ext

All menus and mode settings seem correct
For the life of me, I can't see where anything is mis-programmed

Help ?

I assume the mailboxes work correctly?Say you VT a caller to a mailbox, does that work?

Haven't tried that and I'm not on site

If I direct a ring group overflow to vm and set up fwd trk / sta so a call to the ring group goes to a mailbox, it works.

If you have remote access remove the ???EXT from the main menu so it won't try the extension and go direct to the mailboxes and see if that works.

Then I couldn't dial an ext from outside
Gets me to VM but wouldn't be working properly

I understand that I wanted to see if that works ok ,no as a permanent solution.

What does the port activity screen show?
Or look at the activity log, the reason why it went to day main will slow there

Assume you setup your mailbox correctly. I would look at the activity log. Check if the call went to call BLOCKED then bump the call to Day Main.
If that is the case, goto x205 > call director > BLOCKED set action to 'Goto', type to 'Mbx", and target to "Mbx205". Then make another test call.

Found that it was a case of MMC 741 SVMi Create Subscriber not being set up
Set proper extensions to both, BINGO
Everything started working properly

This defies my understanding of how the SVMi works
But I'll take it.

MMC741 will always take precedence over manually created mailboxes/extensions.

But only when the vm restarts (either due to power cycle, or it's maintenance)

So if you have manually created a MBX/EXT but have it set to no in MMC741 then when the vm next restarts it will delete the MBX/EXT
