I am new to ESI phones. This office is on an ESI-200 with 48 key stations. I have a user that is suddenly unable to access their voicemail. When trying to get into their voicemail they get a message: "this mailbox is already in use." Its been like this for 2 days now, she said it happened after a remote access to her voicemail. I cant seem to find a solution to this, any ideas?
If they called in from outside it's possible that you don't hev CPC on the phone service and the MB never released the call properly. Rebooting the system or shorting the hung line will clear the trouble. But if it is a Calling Party Control issue the trouble will return.
So what is the proper way to reboot this system?
pull the AC plug, count to 5 , then Plug it back in and WAIT until it boots back up ( about 2 Minutes )
then check that mb.
Pull the power at the wall, not the connector on the board. ESI put out a tech bulletin on this.
Yep, worked as you guys said, thanks.
