Station Hunting

I have 4 analog stations running off a SPA8800. Ext 2820, 2821, 2822, and 2823.

I would like them to hunt.

if I call 2820 and it is busy, now ring 2821, and so on.

These are not ACD users, just plain old telephones.

Any help would be great.

Just put them in a ring group and set the group as "hunt", I think.

You need to create a queue (queues.conf) and assign the extensions to the queue, you can then set the various options for music on hold ringing, periodic announcements for on-hold time etc.

The strategy option will allow you to configure the ring type for the queue:
ringall - will ring all the extensions in the queue
rrmemory - round robin (sequential hunting)
random - random extension
leastrecent - extension least recently called
fewestcalls -extension with fewest calls

There are many options for calls queues. We've been installing asterisk systems for a few years and couldn't recommend enough
