We have a 4.4 2740 card with PRI. Global Crossing is our T1 provider. That can't seem to get the echoing out of our line. Had Qwest adjust the line from +1db to -7.5db no help. If we upgrade to 5.2 and adjust the trunks down each to -7.5db the problem goes away. I found out a similiar company has the same setup but uses ELI and no issues. Is this possible?

Yes, very much so, even 2 T1's from the same provider can act differently.

SO are you saying it's on the provider side that this could be fixed or our we going to have to update the system?

Without being on site, I could not tell you what side the problem is on. Have your tech replace the T1 card (temp) to see if that corrects the problem. Also have him double check his programming on the T1. It could be either the Teleco or the telephone system.

Had Global crossing change a echo canceller. That fixed the problem for 2 days now went back to the same problem. Does anyone else have a problem with Global Crossing?

If they change echo and fixed it, sure points to them. Are you using this for dial up data?

Have on T1 for data and one for phone system. Using T1/E1 card (550.2740). EVerything worked for 2 days and now back to echoing. Don't really want to have to upgrade to 5.2 version. Than we can control channel settings.

No need to upgrade for this problem. As you stated, after they changed there part, it fixed the problem. Have them change it again. By now they should be pulling reports and should be able to see the problem.

Here is a problem. When someone calls a number and gets the echo or the other end can not here them, they hangup and get another trunk and the problem is gone. Is there a way I can monitor the trunks with the 4.4 software or is global crossing the only ones that can do this?
