Will a 550.8416 16 Key Mini DSS work with a 550.8662 IP phone on a Mitel 5000 system running v.1.2?

This appears to be the correct connector.

Is it possible that this is phone is an 8660 and not an 8662?

The Inter-tel labels and the display screen on boot up all say 550.8662E v2.

I checked the 5000 and Axxess manuals. Both reference compatibility with the 8660 and neither mention the 8662. I’m guessing a field trial is in order.

It turns out the 8662 does not work with the dss. The connector is wrong (it has a lot less pins than the 8660.)
