I have another problem with this buggy release of a processor. when employees hang up they hear a burst of the on hold music after every call.

i had voice quality issues with r7
and had to swap the box
now the customer is complaining about
moh which is not clear
the moh is a neltech sonorous which is
a good player
i picked mine in nj from a company starting
with a t .i was wondering since your from ny if you did the same and they have a bad lot
of r7 units

naw I bought it from metroline. So far I've had a strange issue with all r7's I've installed

We have done many with no problems. Do you guys default yours out of the box? Avaya recommends defaulting it twice to make sure everything is cleared from EMI and scanning during shipping.

Only had the first 2 or 3 that where bad, there was a known bad lot made but they should be long gone by now, haven't had any problems with all the rest we have put in, gkar is right about doing a default upon startup.

why does the r7 need a firmware upgrade to recognize a t-1 module? i would think they would come standard.

It's more of a patch then a upgrade.
