Can anyone tell me about the visual indications I should get on a 100 DCD? I can't dial in or out and have no indication (lights) on the card. The card has been replaced the carrier did come onsite and tested the circuit and found no problem. I ran test and looked at the status and it does have errors.It has been several years since I have worked on this system and could use a few trouble shooting pointers. Thank You :bang:

The switch has been in place with current config for several years.

sounds like the B-channels aren't released. If the D-Channel wasn't working, a red light would be on. Have the carrier check the b-channels.

Carrier was onsite Friday and said circuit "Tested Clean"

The carrier had changed provisioning on the circuit..... I had to step through the parameters I need before thay finally found their issue. Thank you for your reply.

There is no indication unless incoming or outgoing calls are made. Amber light indicates a proper configuration. Check a status in Maintenance. All alarms should be off. If an outgoing call is a PRI choice you will see top amber light after dialing which is indicates that your T1 trying to make outgoing call. If doesn't go make sure yours protocols and Provider's are exact match.

Well, to provide a bit more clarification;

The DS1 Module actually has three LED's.

RED - It lights up when there are errors on the card and/or it does not like the way the T1 circuit is set up. If removing the errors from the Maintenance/System/Error Log clears the RED LED, then that's a good thing. If it fails to, or it comes back on, that's a bad thing.

AMBER - This is the "IN USE" indicator. When lit, a call is in progress on the Module.

GREEN - This only lights when the module is reset or the system is restarted. I really don't think it has any purpose, other than making the LED Bank look like a traffic light.

If the RED LED is out, but you can't access the PRI, there is something wrong with the set up SOMEWHERE. Could be the LEGEND/MAGIX, could be the PROVIDER.

Of course, all Modules have a RED, AMBER & GREEN status indicator, just not all have any physical LED's.
