I have a customer with a 124i and on one extension you do not get dial tone (interom or outgoing) until you press the call2 key.

??

It may be over simplification on my part, but is the Call 1 key shot. Try plugging in another keyset and see what happens. I would also theorize the old "headset mode" buggaboo (Call 1, dial 834, but I would think that would affect the Call 2 key also.

I have already tried another set, no luck. Headset mode on/off. When you p/u the hndset it goes to call1 (normal) with no dial tone, until you press call2.

Could be set is set for auto line pickup and that line is dead.

Then a dead line would affect everyone not just him.
Thanks for trying.

not if he has a different TAM than everyone else...I realize this is getting to be a "if all the planets line up and it is Tuesday" type of thing but stranger things have happened.

What about ringdown? What does the display say?

It is a 3 x cabinet 124i system which I know with this system there are problems when it has been expanded to its capacity. The problem lies in the 3rd cabinet this problem effect all of the locals in the 3rd cabinet. They are now looking at a SV8100 system.

Thanks for your efforts.
