I've installed a Norstar MICS r5 with a NAM replacing an old bcm. I get inbound calls on a t1 via DID assigned to the target lines. I make outbound no problem. I call another persons phone and nam pics up no problem. I've changed the park prefix from 1 so I could change the DNs to start with 1. THE ONE AND ONLY (minus the profanity)problem I'm having is when you call a target line assigned to a phone the main greeting picks up and not the personal one. The NAM is not set to pic up any lines but it still pics up any way. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure that the DRT to prime is not reverting to the vmail DN in fewer rings than the Call Forward No Answer on the extension. Insure that the prime set for your target lines are the extensions that the lines are assigned to.

The NAM that you have is an older one that will required a patch to be installed on it to work with MICS 5.0 and above ,if you have MICS 4.1 or below it will work fine.Contact your vendor that sold you that NAM for the patch other than that you will need to pay for it to get from another vendor.Thats my opinion.

I do have the drt to prime at the correct amount of rings and I think sam is correct. Does anyone know where to get the patch.
