My client grabbed a NAM from another site because the original NAM bit it.

When calling DIDs in the building, any of the employees phones will ring then gets redirected to the Reception phone.

How do I go about getting logged into the NAM by PC? I don't have any serial stuff with me.

I have NRU 10 and VM manager 3.0 and a PC.

It's a NAM 4.0 not 4.1 I was told I need to turn off redirect. I've never had to do this.

Thanks!

what you have is drt to prime.
make sure you target line is set for the ext that has the DID as prime set.
you could also set your drt time longer than your forward no answer time

The settings described above are in the system, not the NAM.

They didn't change anything but the physical NAM so, why would DRT effect anything?

I should've posted, when calling a phone with a DID, it rings the phone (ie ext 8122) four times and then reverts back to the Auto Attendant.

Someone had mentioned to me that there is a redirect ring setting in the actual NAM 4.0 and there was a 4.1 patch that resolved this issue.

Our client unplugged the thing, plugged it in again and it did this.

isn't there a patch for DID/Target line capability? you downgraded to an older NAM?

If you have NAM 4.0 and system is a 4.1 and higher you are gonna have an integration problem. One of them it's not going to MB on CFNA settings. You need upgrade or CP.

It's a NAM 4.0.4 C or something

Our company didn't swap it, the IT guy thought he could swap it with one from another site.

So the bottom line is, they have to upgrade to 4.1 or another tech support site is telling me to log into the the IP port and turn Redirect to on or off. I can ping the IP port but don't know the password to the box.

What is the version of the Norstar Software?
Posted By: Korey Re: NAM Question - 01/27/09 04:55 AM
I think 5 something

"Think" and "or something" dont MICS!!!!!!

Ok will presume 4.0.4C NAM and 5.0 KSU, compatible to each other.

For Redirect 4.0 requires a patch, 4.1 you can change in F983.

1. Did you use the same ports and same DN?

2. Check that FNA in Capabilites and F985 match.

Yes you are right 4.0.04C and 5.0

I did check F985 and all the CFNA stuff. The VM DN is still the same as well.

There is a redirect issue with NAM 4.0 and MICS 5.0. It must be changed in the NAM by using NVM Manager. Or by installing the 4.0 redirect patch.

Thanks Marv. I just have to hunt down as to where to get the patch.
