I have a MICS 5.0 and a NAM 4.0. Simple install. 4 phones 1 line. All phones ring on incoming call but ext. 223 fwd's to vm after 4 ring. I want it to go to the VM box of 223. But when I call it it fwd's but to a generic greeting. It says if you know the ext of the person you want to reach please dial it now, for the company directory press #, or to leave a message press *. Any ideas. Thanks.

MB 223 has not been set up, or it's not initialized.

Mailbox has been initialized.

Sounds like the AA is answering. Set line 001 ans to no. Call fwd 223 to vm (capabilities) and set for 4 rings. Make sure no lower DNs are forwarded (221 or 222).

Have done all of that prior to posting. Double checked and everything is set up correctly. Defaulted the System and still the same. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

what class of service are you using? are you calling 223 internally or from the outside? cause it sure does sound like what jkinkler said. the aa and the mbox are set for the same amount of rings. also check if mbox 223 is asigned to ext 223. Moore could be right too.

NAM has to be minimum Rel. 4.1 othervise no complete Integration.

No 4.0 is ok on 5.0, 4.1 is required on KSU 6.0 and up.

Try F983/Login/ and press 4 and make sure vmail is turned on.

Here is the greeting I get everytime a call. Using the dial pad please enter the Ext. you wish to call, to use the directory press #, to leave a message press *, to reach an operator press 0. No matter what I do that is what I get. 1 question is I have had this work in the past on a DID, but will this work on a loopstart line. I just want line 1 to call fwd to mailbox 223 after 4 rings. Thanks.

You have an AA Greeting ON and its playing after your Main Greeting. You have to record a silence for a split of a second and make sure the status is OFF.

Go into the F982 box and set "answer lines" to NO. If when you call in you get the same greeting it's a mailbox answering the call.

Vad60 is on the right path with his answer, to be more specific though it is the Menu Prompt found in Table, first choice (before Morning).

And yes works on loop lines.
