It always aggrevated me that Nortel didnt use standard fiber connectors. Is it possible to connect a 016 Station Module to an MICS by using standard fiber? The situation is my customer wants to connect phones to an outlying building. Getting cooper there is possible, but expensive. They already have some vacant fiber pairs. Are there any adapters that might allow me to connect a station module across this fiber back to the main MICS?
Maybe someone knows for sure but easy to check out.

Go to some place like Graybar and buy a long fiber cable. Grind down the plastic on the ends so they can poke in the MICS hole.

It should just be light going from one place to another but there could be some limitation such as 50 or 100 or 300 feet, you would have to check it out. I don't think there would be that much loss in a hundred feet.

Mck made fiber extenders for just what you are looking to do. Also i believe with out the extender your module will not work.Im thinking about 6 to 8 feet is limit on fiber patch.

Okay..sounds like it might be easier just to string some 25 pair and be done.
