I know someone has the answer.
I have been installing a few PRIs lately. How do you get a DID to be busy when it is for a fax. When the fax is in use and a second fax comes in it should be busy. i have tried what I think is everything. I want that second fax call to be busy, but how?
Thanks.

On the PRI we used to get the telco to only allow one call for that number in the exchange.
In TARGET programming - there is a setting that says: If busy: A) PrimeSet B) Busy Tone.
Have you tried this setting?
in lines and target, i optioned busy tone and prime set to itself. i have tried public, i tried private to,
i even tried forward on busy to an ext that does not exist. The carrier is Tpac. I will call them and ask if they have the one call at a time deal.
What I do not understand is when i test call, it rings to the caller, but where is it going? Its not going to the front console.
Make sure Target Prime set is its own DN. Try setting the DN with only 1 I/C.
i did, in fact, have it set to 1 i/c that was the first setting, then i changed it to none. prime is its own.
In control sets, did you set the fax extension to itself? In control lines did you set the target line to the fax.

I would bet you have a second call going to the receptionist.

in terminals and sets, did you set DND on Busy?
I did not set anything in control sets or lines. but i will try it.
second ring is not going to recep. it just rings and rings in cyber-somewhere.
Yes, DND is set to busy.

Make sure there is only one I/C assigned. Also, make sure the associated target line is not set to appear and ring. It needs to be set to ring only! Call forward should be off.
I'll change it to one IC only. It is set to ring only with one appearance. Which call forward do you mean? The only one I know of is in capabilities.
