So in Lucent Avaya Definity there is a feature called bridged appearance where you can have a DID other than the extension appear on another phone. Does the Meridian system allow this type of thing? What I did on a Definity is assign a DID to an analog station, connected that output through a digital recorder back into the switch as a Pots line. Then I took a digital station at a critical operator position and added three bridged appearance buttons for that DID. Works great for recording a line! I need to replicate this in a Meridian 1 option 51c switch. Any thoughts?
Yes it can be done. You can program numbers on different sets as SCR (single call ring), SCN (single call no ring). MCR (multiple call ring), etc. Programming a digital set and analog set with the same number defeats privacy however.

How is this done?
So far I have the DID assigned to an analog station. I cross connect that station back into the switch to a universal trunk card as a regular POTS line. Now how do I land that CO line on a digital station as a personal or private line. Thus when that button is pushed either to pickup an incoming call or make an outgoing call it is exclusively on that trunk?

In order for me to activate the recorder and tap into that conversation, I have to deliver into the analog world to bridge to the recorder and then put it back into the system to deliver access on two different digital phones as a call appearance(Avaya term).
