I have received a request from a national to visit a site and take Element Manager with me to check out a BCM for dropping calls. Does anyone know what this is? More importantly, is it even worth my while?

Element Manager is the programming interface for the BCM - you can download it directly from the unit by logging in via a browser. If you're familiar with the Norstar MICS, you should have no problem navigating this interface and troubleshooting.

I've always been told it's best to download and use the Element Manager from the BCM you're working on. So you get the proper version.

Yeah - I have been told that too.
But when the last two times I downloaded from the BCM didn't work, I downloaded from the web site.
THEN it worked.

Yes, if I remember correctly some of the older versions won't work on Win 7 or 8.
