I've set up Hunt Groups before and I've "RTFM'ed" thrice.

Here's the situation at my client's location (large residential condominium):

Two sets at the front desk (DN235 & DN241). 235 & 241 are the only members of HG741. CCR rings HG741 when residents push "1".

Client wants calls to roll-over to a back phone (DN309) in case there is no-one available at the front desk to answer.

I've tried setting up the Hunt Group to "overflow" to 309, which it does, however after two rings (plus the original four rings), you'll hear a recording that says "The Person You Are Calling Is Not Available". I've also tried CFNA to 309 from both sets, with the same result.

DN309 is set-up properly with a mailbox and if you call it directly from the outside, you hear the MB greeting after four rings.

Any ideas as to why the HG won't roll through to the MB of DN309??

anyone

Edit: After hearing the "Person You Are Calling..." msg., caller is returned to the CCR tree.

Add a mailbox 741, same as the hunt group. That's the way to do it.

Hmm...I'll give it a shot. Associate the MB with DN309?

What is the Transfer Callback and DRT timers at compared to the HG timer and the CFNA ring count?
Make sure they do not conflict.

HG Overflow is actually a Transfer

Haven't been back to the site yet, but I typically set everything for four rings.

Nope, nope & nope. I have another HG set-up on the same system and it's working perfectly (rings all three phones then goes to the main phone VM). Copied line-for-line this HG setting(s) and I'm still getting the "The Person You Dialed Is Not Available)...

All three extensions are members of the HG. I also tried leaving the "target" phone out of the HG. Same result.

Timers are set to 4 rings. I even tried bumping down the target MB DN to 3 rings with same results.

Also set-up MB 741 assigned to the Target ext...same results. "The person you are calling is not available".

What timers are 4 rings?
HG's are in seconds
Make sure there is no conflict with DRT and Transfer Call Back timers.

CFNA and DRT are 4 rings. Don't recall the HG timer. I compared settings side-by-side with another HG I have set up on the same system. That HG works, this one won't.

Still doesn't explain why I can't get to the mailbox of the target extension...it's ringing that extension. I'm literally stumped.

Edit: Are you referring to the HG "Timeout"? I set that at 15 secs (tried 30, 60 too with same result).

Your DRT is at 4 yet your CFNA is at 4 and your HG is at 15 secs (4 rings).

As I said in the first port do not have your timers conflict.

Turn BOTH your DRT and Transfer Call Callback timers to 10 rings and test.

If you remove the overflow and try both HG's I presume it works fine?

And if overflowing from one group to another I wonder that its now considered 6 rings as a whole meaning the Transfer callback of 6 might even interfere.
That assuming it's still considered a transferred call from CCR.

What is the DN of the prime set for the lines? and does that prime set have a mailbox?
