Both cabnets have to be the same version, up grade one to 4 or both to 6-7
how about useing a -4 with a -6 ?
like you say I have always used the same dash # in the past , however ......
as these units get older upgrade kits and re-doing programming is not always a first option you want to try
BOTH cabinets must be the same Version.......
1+1, 2+2, 4+4, etc.
I was able to finaly able to get through to panasonic tec support ....
they told me no problem mixing 3 & 4 as long as 4 is set as master
thanks for the help
Very interesting. Please post the final results of this combination.
It is interesting, because it contradicts everything that tech support said in the past. In fact we were always told that the only mis-match that would work was -6 and -7 because only the CID on -7 was the difference between the two versions.
T H E Y L I E D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

( or seriously delusional)

in error ect ... ect ..
how ever on a more positive note ..
I used --6 ( slave ) with the --4 ( master )
and so far so good , no problems .
( trying to use my existing inventory first whenever possible )
