:confused: I need to verify that useing a
kx-td1232-4 (master)and a kx-td1232-3 (slave)
will work correctly together

Both cabnets have to be the same version, up grade one to 4 or both to 6-7

how about useing a -4 with a -6 ?
like you say I have always used the same dash # in the past , however ......
as these units get older upgrade kits and re-doing programming is not always a first option you want to try

BOTH cabinets must be the same Version.......
1+1, 2+2, 4+4, etc.

I was able to finaly able to get through to panasonic tec support ....
they told me no problem mixing 3 & 4 as long as 4 is set as master

It is interesting, because it contradicts everything that tech support said in the past. In fact we were always told that the only mis-match that would work was -6 and -7 because only the CID on -7 was the difference between the two versions.

how ever on a more positive note ..
I used --6 ( slave ) with the --4 ( master )
and so far so good , no problems .
( trying to use my existing inventory first whenever possible )
