I have a TDA50 which had been turned off for an extended period of time. I turned the unit back on yesterday and the system just has a continuous flashing Run (Green) Light.
I've checked the SD card, which I am able to read from my computer, I've tried Initializing the system, I cannot detect the system when I plug it into my laptop via USB, and the phones don't turn on when connected directly to the system.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
What position is the switch in on the front of the system. (normal or initialize)
It is in the normal position. I have tried the system initialize sequence, but that hasn't worked.
when you read the SD card was there all the files on it.
sounds like it cant read or the files are corrupt
I was able to read all the files on the SD card and transfer them to my computer.
Download the upgrade files from Panasonic. Delete the files from the SD card and load the new upgrade files.
I tried that, but the issue persists. I even swapped out SD cards, and that didn't work either, maybe the board went bad?
it sounds like the system is gone. does the SD card light flash at all or just 1 flash and stop or not at all
It is 1 flash and stops. How could it have gone bad just sitting there unplugged from the wall?
You could try to clean the contacts on the board, but if it wont read the card you are snookered
We're going to go ahead and replace it, is there an easy way to transfer all the existing programming while keeping the license file in tact on the new box?
We don't have license for systems here so I will have to leave that to someone else to answer.
I was able to get this figured out. I had to get the new system licensed from Panasonic, upgrade the DSSYS file from the old system to match the new one, and transfer that file to the new SD card, and all the programming stayed in tact.
Hope you get years from this one
