Does anybody know of anyhting that will light a external message waiting light off of the stutter tone that an XTS sends to SLA adapters?
or any phone system that sends stutter tone as message waiting. Let me know as i am also going to post this in the gerneral forum if that is alright if not you may delete it.
Thanks Gary

Sandman sells a unit that will sit on the dial tone and check for stutter, then light up when a message is indicated. You'll have to look around his site, google "sandman"

Oobie: I don't think that the stutter dial tone provided by the XTS is the same as central office stutter dial tone. It's much slower. I have not actually tried this though.

I believe most CO's and Analog systems send 90vdc (1 sec on 1 sec off) which is what actually is lighting the lamp. It's not the stutter dial.

One exception I know of is Centrex which only sends stutter dial tone. Only found this out recently when a customer complained that their Nortel CICS would not show "message waiting" from CO voice mail.
