By the way a few months back I asked about router programming and so forth for remote Ip access to the ICP and no one seemed to have any answers other than the IT guy at the site just set it up for them. I got this figured out so if anyone ever needs the info let me know.

Here ya go.
IP Connection to ICP platorm
1. Obtain a basic router (linksys, D-Link, etc)
2. Follow manual instructions on how to enter router programming (usually this entails plugging into the router's LAN port and requires you to set your TCP/IP settings on your computer ethernet port to be on the same "network" as the router. The router manual should explain how to do this)
3. Program the WAN port settings to match the static IP given to you by service provider. This will include IP, DNS, Subnet, etc.
4. Program the Port Forwarding. On the Linksys this is located under the "Gaming and Applications" tab. The router manual should tell you how to do this. Usually it entails setting the incoming port number (2000 for telnet or browser access on the ICP), outgoing port number (again would be 2000) and then the remote IP (which on the ICP is defaulted to 192.168.1.2) . Also might ask you to note if it is TCP, IP or Both). Would set to both.
5. I would also suggest that you program a remote port on the router (I use 8010)so you can Browse into the router if you need to change programming.
6. As a last step change the LAN port address to the gateway address of the ICP (the default is 192.168.1.1). Save your settings. Please note that once you have change the LAN port address you will have to reset your TCP/IP settings on your computer to the get on the same "network" as the router (say 192.168.1.250) if you want to connect directly to the router again.
7. Plug the WAN port of the router to a port designated by the Internet provider (or usually any availble port) on their switch. Plug the LAN port of the router into any Layer switch coming off the Mitel.
8. You will need a secure Telnet program to telnet in or if you want to use browser interface the latest editions of Firefox or IE will work but you have to make sure you have the correct Java plugins and you have to make sure you have "pop up blocker" disabled.
