We are changing the information on a Mitel that is being installed in a Motel. We are having trouble getting into the Voicemail card via our laptop using the DB9 Connection on the front of the voicmail card. We have been asking around and most people have been doing it by the phone. As there is tons of extentions we need to do is there a way to do it off that DB9 Connection and if so do we need special software to do it. We have tried using Hyper Terminal to get in and it doesn't seem to work Hyper Terminal Attributes are (9600 8 none 1)
We need help in getting this resolved thanks everyone.

You need Express Manager -- which, if I remember correctly--is proprietary---but it may be on site somewhere there with other Mitel Docs. Either one or two floppy disks.
Takes a bit of getting used to--but once you've done it a 2 or 3 times---it's a lot better.

If they are using the DB9 for an interface you have to call into the voice mail via phone and change the port temporarily to programming from interface.

With Express Manager software, at release 4, you can connect with Tera Term or ProComm and it takes a null modem to connect.
