I am not that familiar with 3300 but someone is telling me that SC1000 on the 3300 uses the resources of 8 ports on DNIC card. Sounds kinda crazy to me. What's the real scoop?
Thanks

it would only use 1 dnic port. if you are talking about DSP resourses it is the same as any other digital set.

If I am correct they are refering to power consumption, Mitel recommends console on 1st port of card and never below the 8th port I believe. Especially if you are using large display sets I.E. 430's , and if you are using allot of high power phones dont popuate card past 12th port, Otherwise fill the card up with as many 4025 as you want.

So Alex - what if you have 5 consoles and only want to use three cards? How would you configure it then?

I woulds go 2 2 and 1 but try to configure your station layout with the 1 console on the higher traffic card and the other 2 on less traffic/loaded cards.
