I have an SX-50 that reboots randomly, the time defaults, but not the programming, someone was out and changed the backplane on it, I put it on a UPS and I have a fan in the area now in case of heat, but that is all I got. Any suggestions?

Power supply would be the next logical step. Then 1 card at a time. Illogically, but quite likely, Database has a glitch and everytime it 'goes there', it reboots. So, consider default and reprogram. BUT FIRST either print out the program, or laboriously copy it out onto a set of PRF sheets! If you are going to print it out, do it at a quiet time and have about 6 inches of fan fold paper qued up. It prints EVERY SINGLE BIT OF EVERY SINGLE REGISTER, whether or not entries were changed or made! I wouldn't bother saving to disc to reload. You'll probably either reload the glitch, or the reload will crash repeatedly because of the glitch. By the way, the glitch usually doesn't show in printouts or real time database inspections, so don't bother. John C. (Not Garand)
