I have just replaced the ipc card on our sx 200. I have reprogrammed the system with the system options, features. COS's, trunk and extensions..

My problem is that after successfully testing the extensions and trunk calls, i put the tone control card thumbwheel out of programming, ( i put it from 7770 to 8888) the console now has a flashing lamp test and every key you press on the console causes an alarm EO..

But the extensions can call each other and can also access the trunk lines.. it seems to be working except for the console..

Am I missing something very simple here?? I must add that this is my first time to work with the sx 200.. I am working thru it with aid of manuals vol no's: II, IV, & III

Appreciate any help,
Thanks

E0 is a programming error code, indicating that an invalid key is pressed... sounds like your console is still in programming mode

Spin the thumbwheels around to all 8's again, just to be sure and press the flashing Lamp Test light... should take you back to operating mode

Thanks... Got it to go out of the flashing test lamp.

I can call the console with "0" and it answers the incoming calls on the trunks but unable to transfer calls to extensions

Any ideas?

I'm assuming you have Generic 217, if not these Option numbers may be different.

Check Options 38 & 44, they should not be enabled
If so, give us a list of enabled Options in the COS

Thanks again TECHarry,

Am now able to transfer calls...

before this system went down and needed the IPC replaced, used to be incoming calls were automatically answered after 3 rings by a recording "thank you for calling, if you know your party's ext, you can dial their extension at any time or hold for the operator"

How can I re implement this feature?

Thanks

Just had a look in the back and there are 2 AVM Jr boxes there. I think they have been programmed with extension numbers..although I do not see where.

How do I program these AVm's in?

Thank you

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with "AVM Jr."... I'm guessing they're some kind of AutoAttendant device... generally this kind of device has extensions from the switch and the trunks are programmed to ring those extensions rather than the console... the caller dials an extension the AA transfers the call...

Hopefully, you reprogrammed from a paper copy of the Customer Database... if you stuck to that, you should find the trunk answering points and therefore the AA extensions and their COS... be sure everything is back as before if you want it to work the same way

If the problem is the AVM Jr. devices, my best suggestion is to Google the name, manufacturer, model number, etc..

If there are two boxes they were probably in a hunt group. Find out the extensions of the boxes (should be easy to ID) and then create a hunt group with those two extensions in there. Set up overflow to go to hunt group and that should take care of your problem. Seriously doubt if there is a problem with the AVM boxes.

A strong suggestion: Print the program. A hard copy is worth its weight in gold.
