I have a 200 ICP MX that has lost the 2 dnic ports. My question is do these two ports come off the Analog main card or are they located on another board? I cant seem to find this in the book.

Analog Main Board provides circuits for DNIC devices (2), ONS devices (2), LS CLASS trunks (6), Music on Hold (1), Paging (1), and Generic relays (1).

You also need to make sure you have a TDM lisc for them. System won't let you program them if there are no TDM lisc. available.

What I meant by LOST was Bright flash, loud boom and quit working. Big thunderstorm. Thanks everyone it is now fixed. Only killed the 2 DNIC ports on phone system but much more damage to other equipment.

Hmmm, I'll bet you had a printer plugged into the console? John C.

as a practice to help against those big flash booms is to install line protectors on the co lines, T1, and the smdr feed. ever since doing that our calls regarding blown ports have decreased substantially.

No printer plugged in on the console and surge protection on ons and dnic lines. It still got shot. Do you recommend any different supperession on the dnic lines than on the ons lines.
