Customer had power bump, took out 2 power supplies, replaced 1 in bay 2 ok, but bay 3 when replaced lasted 6 seconds and went down again. Fuses are fine. MCC card? Will pull all cards out next time we replace power supply (maint. man doing this himself to save $).

Could be a bad ONS. MCC is in Bay 1 and should have no effect. Must be an EL with 3 bays though.
Pulling all card except the BCC and then plugging back in 1 at a time he could try that now with the "bad" PS in there.

Make sure that he solidly connected the "defective" power supply into the flexible power cord at the back of the case. Many people assume that the power supply mounts firmly into the backplane, but there is actually a cord that it must mate with. Failure to seat that cord properly (i.e. just jabbing the PS into the bay) could cause the PS to appear bad.

I see where there was some kind of water splashed on the back of the cabinet, and some corrosion at the power points, so new per cabinet for sure.
