So now this system I relocated has an AA pickup of 2 rings. It was 6 before the move. No idea how it got changed.
So what are the programming steps to reset this? I am in the process of aquiring a manual for this system but for now I have not much to work with.
I'd like to set the day menu to pick up after 6 rings and the night to 2 if possible.

Reb - the time and date are correct.
I have discovered a coordinator manual! But I still have a problem.
So what I have done is to set the system answer rings to 6. It does not work. The AA answers on the first ring. This is really an issue for this client.
When I moved the system, I ended up moving the DN from 35 to 24. From what I can tell the extension programming is the same. That is the only change that was made.

Check to make sure there are no ringing assingments for 24, and did you check the display of ext 21 to make sure it is not in Night Mode?

Reb - 24 now has no line assignments. No ringing. But it still picks up on the first ring.
Extension 21 is our receptionist and her phone is not in night mode. The day answer plays so I know it isn't in night mode too.

Reb -
I set system answer by using the coordinator password then system programming > auto attendant > attd set >language > system answer then used the CHANGE button.
OK, so I gave up and moved the StarTalk Flash back to extension 35. No changes were made to ext35.
The system still picks up on the first ring even though the System Answer value is set for 5.
This is really becoiming a problem. Help.

PM When you changed the DN on the startalk, did you change it by doing a change DN or did you just move it to a different port.
Did you change any of the settings under Services? Check to see if the startalk DN is the extra dial set or in the same ring group as the lines for night ringing.
Also go into Flash programming under AA/Lines/put in line number and check to see if it is ans by AA, Number of rings, and what table answers it. your prob may be in the startalk AA itself.

I moved the VM port to a different, in this case original DN, It is now punched down to the same port it was in before. I later discovered which port was used so it's back there. But with no difference.
We changed no settings. We simply relocated the switch and the problem appeared.
I'll try what you said. If the problem is the Startalk I assume I'll need to connect to it using that DB25 connector?

PM, You can check the AA by going into programming. F983 enter the password press AA, press lines, put in the line number and see if it is answered by AA, how many rings and what table. The only benefit you will get by connecting with a laptop is to print reports.
