Hello,

I have an Option 11C system. The customer would like the ability to make a Vocie call from a receptionist area into a lab area, where the lab extension can talk back without picking up the handset. The phone types that I have are M2317 and M2008. Can someone tell me how to accomplish the handsfree voice call?

The M2008 will have to be the H/F version in order to program it on the phone. There'll be a mic on the bottom edge just under handset. I think all M2317 are handsfree. You'll need to go in to LD 11 and program hfa under the CLS heading.

Beer, sure I'll try one

Check out programming a DIG group with V (voice) instead of R (ring).

So they don't want the customer to push a button to answer on speakerphone, I am correct? Tronic is correct on needing HF if you are going to push a button. But if they want the Norstar voice call feature RBF is on the right page.

Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

I am not very familiar with the Option 11, can you explain a DIG group to me. I can have the customer put a M2317 in both locations.
Thanks

Dial Intercom Group. You can build a group that would look like DIG 2 10 V. THat would be group 2 member 10 and voice through. Assign it to a key and assign another set to have DIG 2 11 V. They would hit that button and dial 10 or 11 to get the other station to voice through.

Thanks RBF, got the DIG partially working. I can press the DIG button and dial the member #, the call goes through as a voice call. The only problem is that the phone that is called cannot talk back handsfree, is there a way for that phone to automatically go handsfree so they can talk back without lifting the handset?
Thanks
