I have a MICS with v.7 and a NAM 4.1 running. Hunt Group 1 (HG01) on DN 739 is where the auto attendant is pointed, and it rings the phone, but if nobody answers, it goes on ringing. How do I get it to drop into the General Mailbox ?

Why are you using the HG? Is the AA answered by multiple sets?


Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

welcome to the forum. HG do not follow CFNA/CFB rules. If the overflow for that HG loops to itself... yes it will ring forever.

yes the aa is answered by multiple stations. the overflow is not set. Is that the way to send the call to the general mailbox ? how do I set the number of rings ?

You have to create a mailbox for the hunt group and then point the overflow to the voice mail DN. There is a setting for HG to ring for xx secs.

I don't want to create a mailbox for the hunt group. I want the call to go to the general mailbox.

If you set the over flow to the VM DN and no mailbox matches the hunt group DN, won't it go the GDM?
