I was wondering if anyone has attempted this. According to Nortel, the following is needed:
New HDD
3.7 to 4.0 upgrade kit
Also, the system would have to be programmed from scratch.
So during the upgrade process, is the system upgraded from 2.5 to 3.7, then 3.7 to 4.0?
Nortel doesn't mention anything about PEC cards. Assuming PEC-III cards are needed, does the 2.5 already have PEC-III cards?

Some 1000 chassis had PEC-IIIs. You'll need to go into hardware inventory or open up the box to see. You'll also need to make sure your MSC card is compatible.
